Also, "Dead End Job At The Dead Letter Office" is now the first track. The last two songs, aren't on any album release, they are songs I found on YouTube that I thought were interesting enough to put on here. If you don't want them you can delete them since they are at the very end.

Hi everybody!

So I have made a few changes, most of them are minor but I feel I should make a new post so you know about them. Firstly, I have deleted (/Turned Off The Lights to) the Night on the Sun forums as they were not getting used. They were pretty pointless, and ever since Interstate 8 updated/graded their forums there really only needs to be the one forum. ModMouse is dead... deal with it. The Shoutbox has moved to the main page on the right hand side. And the Sun logo is staying just because it looks nice. You can click it all you want, it wont get you anywhere though.

Secondly, I added Share Buttons! So you can share any new news items on your Twitter account/Facebook and etc. And Speaking of Facebook, make sure to like us! Our Facebook page is Located Here, also on the right hand bar you can simply click the "Like" button on the facebook app, located under the shoutbox.

I have added some more links also, there are articles, other download blogs, and my own YouTube channel. Where the two new Modest Mouse songs are available to view.

I have edited out all of the commentary and talking in between tracks for the Austin City Limits Show. I will keep the old version up on the site, and just add the new version to the download page. This one should fit on a CD if you want to burn it.

A little Piano got mixed in the song Black Cadillacs by accident at the very beginning. It's barely audible but I was too far ahead to go back and fix it. In the shorter version there are only 15 tracks (took out intro, starts directly into Interstate 8).

The World at Large [Unoficial Single] (Revisited)

Alright so I know there have been a few downloads of TWAL single. But I found a pretty sweet "Live Radio" version of the song, and have added it to The World At Large single. If anyone has any info on it. It would be appreciated. It sounds like the version found on the Austin City Limits, except a professionally recorded version of it. Also, I put in the Float On (Live Zed) version between the Studio/extended track I made and the radio song. sort of like the Ocean Breathes Salty single.

Also, I removed Autumn Beds since its a little TOO official for my liking. Even though the mixes are different, it might deter people from buying the official Modest Mouse CD/7"'s. Sorry.

The cover art in the .rar package are larger than the images on ImageShack, and better quality. I edited all the images in Paint Shop Pro to make them look more like the actual cover art. All I did was apply a Gaussian Blur to the original scans. So the images appear a bit darker, and they also look a bit more glossy.

A Life of Arctic Sounds... Deux

I have updated the lyrics for many songs in my Digital LOAS Digital Lyric Booklet. Including lots of songs off "We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank" and "The Fruit That Ate Itself".

I got my Rebel Beat Factory release of TFTAI in the mail, and along with it, the lyric booklet. And to my amazement... lots of the lyrics were off. And I mean REALLY off. I have still updated some words in every song on the album. But it seems as if Isaac wrote lots of different lines/lyrics and picked and chose in the studio.

Example:

By ear: "A black hole talking about nothing"
Booklet: "I'm back home, talking about nothing"

So I have kept some lyrics as they were and updated others that are right in the lyric pint out in the official CD package. AND I have included a scan of the lyric print out, so you can see what the lyrics are in there.

Also I added the scan of the sky image in the Cover Art section. It has the names of the songs on the RBF version of the CD, which are slightly different/shorter.

I made the new ending to the song, so that I could include the song in a playlist that I made, without it having to be followed by Float On. Personally I don't like how TWAL ends so abruptly when you put a different song after it. I thought I would share it, in case anyone else might want to do that.

Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack Theme Song

The theme song for the cartoon "The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack" has been added to the archive. This version was performed/recorded by Modest Mouse. The quality is alright, I saved what I could from the torrent, it is listenable. But not top quality.

It's all I could find. If anyone ever finds a better version, or buys the DVD and rips the song from that please send it to me. I personally wont as I don't watch the show...

So I have been watching this video on YouTube a lot lately and I decided to rip the video and turn it into an MP3, I did a bit of EQ'ing to make it sound slightly better, but as my dad would always say: "You can't polish a turd"... Okay he never said that once, but the phrase still stands.

Unfortunately there is a couple seconds cut off from the very beginning but you will forget about it as soon as it starts getting going anyways. Alright so I have deleted Sad Sappy Sucker 2. It is filled with a bunch of shit-tier quality recordings of songs off of Sad Sappy Sucker. They are exactly the same as their SSS versions, just... shit. So I got rid of it. And I took the few original tracks and stuck them on to the "Rarities And Unreleased Material" download. I also added some other tracks to it. So you will need to re-download this if you want the new tracks. Sorry. But there was no other way. Alternatively, you can not download it.

I removed Chemical Eyes from the Rarities CD as well, as it is the same version off of the M&A Expanded CD. Just (again) crappy quality. I am guessing someone recorded it off of their radio. Well if you want Chemical Eyes, go buy the CD.

I also removed the ZED TV recording, but I have moved it to the Live Show section. Download below. Also, if you are always up to date on this site... (*cricket cricket*) The Zum Audio CD will be in next week.

And by the way, all the bastards who neglected to inform me I had the Austin City Limits show labelled as the year 2007... Its 2004. I don't know what happened there. But yeah, I updated the list order but not the file itself. You can change the date on your versions yourself, though I am sure you already have.

So recently Interstate 8 posted a concert that Issac Brock put on, along with an unnamed player, to introduce one song off of 180 Degrees Souths films soundtrack... entitled Heres To Now. I'm not going to repost the videos since anyone who sees this knows about it. But I took those videos and ripped the audio from it, took out some talking in between some songs and put them all together as my first Ugly Casanova show download.

If you have downloaded any other of the shows I put up on my blog, you know I separate Modest Mouse CD's and Live Shows. And I do the same for Ugly Casanova.

You've Got It All (Most)

I have uploaded some Radio edits, and some live shows. I have also re uploaded the Summer Sonic show... it is louder now. Also, I am awaiting the Zum Audio CD still. Hopefully I will get it tomorrow or Tuesday. I don't know when it was shipped exactly but once I have it the Compilations CD will be re uploaded with every track off of compilation CD's that are special to their respected CD's. If there are any songs I am missing (see previous post) please let me know.

I know that there is another version of "The World At Large" from an HMV CD that is a couple seconds shorter. I am sure it is exactly the same, with an edit at the end so that it can be played alone. (or not directly leading into "Float On") I wont bother looking for it or buying the CD, but if anyone has it... feel free to send it to me.

Also, the lyric booklet is constantly being updated. I have already made several changes as some lyrics are noticeably off. I will let you know when V2.0 will be released. They aren't big mistakes, probably something you could correct yourself, but nevertheless, I feel the need to upload something more correct... in the future.

New Ugly Casanova Album art up of the Magic Eye single.

Also The World At Large single album art up, its not official, I took a screen shot of the same picture on the cover of the World At Large's cover art found on the Dual Disc version of Good News and put my own text on it... Its not official but its damn close.

Dirty, Dirty, Fingernails...

I just got my yo-yo a go-go CD in the mail so I added the live version of Dirty Fingernails to the download page of rare material. It is its own separate link so you don't need to download the whole "CD" again.

If you place it in the "Compilation CD" folder and add it to iTunes it should just add on to the existing album. If not, you can figure it out.

HQ Album Art Up

I put up some high resolution album art now, you can individually view and save to your computer via ImageShack. I have not yet scanned all my cover art so now that I am aware of the art I am missing... I will upload the remaining stuff soon. probably by next week.

Modest Mouse Digital Lyric Booklet

I have uploaded a "Digital Booklet" full of every Modest Mouse song lyrics. It is a simple booklet, full of notepad documents and folders, all organized by album (which are organized by release date)

You can find it on the "Lyrics" page on the right hand side in the navigation menu.

Blog Reformatting

I have changed the layout of the site as I am adding more content. All the download links are still here and active, you can find them on the navigation panel on the right hand side.

I will be adding a "Digital Lyric Booklet" soon, with the working title as: "A Life of Arctic Sounds - Modest Mouse Complete Lyrical Booklet". It is comprised of a folder for each album, organized by year, and within each album a Notepad document containing the lyrics for the song it represents. Some of these will be interpretations, but as accurate as possible.

I Will also be adding a HQ Album Art section where you can download high quality album art (duh), These will be from my very own scanned images, or images I have found online.

I am also thinking of an Ugly Casanova Section, but I do not know what it would be comprised of yet, Probably some art as well, and maybe a download link for Diggin' Holes. But I'm not sure how I feel about that right now. I will probably put album art in that section, and maybe a lyric booklet as well.

Also, I will now use the main page solely for updates, as it should be.

Night On The Sun - Information

Hi, on Night of the Sun I will be uploading content by the band Modest Mouse. I will update Rare material only. This includes:

- Parasite Sessions
- Lonesome Crowded West and The Moon & Antarctica Demos
- Rare and Unreleased Materials
- Dub Narcotic Studios Recordings (Sad Sappy Sucker 2)
- Compilation Songs (Songs Modest Mouse Only released on Compilation Albums)

And a bunch of live shows that you may or may not have. So far my Austin City Limit rip is the best quality show and one I don't believe you can find anywhere else at the moment. So you might want to point your friends to it. It's professionally recorded and sounds great. I also have a 17 minute Trailer Trash recording. I will update the blog as often as I can.
